The cover is appropriate to the genre because it is quite simple, which fits into the indie genre. It features a girl that has been on the cover of previous albums, which means that they've created an icon that makes it easy to identify their albums.
The dark and bright colour scheme makes the colour stand out more, which makes the album more attractive. The name of the band is in a very understated font but because of the dark background and the bright pink colour of the font, the name stands out and is therefore hard to miss.
The CD itself is very brightly coloured, with oranges and yellows, which fits the colour scheme created on the cover as the girl has red-orange hair and the t-shirt you can see is orange. This helps to carry the theme the band have built carry through all their products and thus enforce the 'Branding' of the band.
Overall this sells the band because the image created is very memorable.
