Website analysis and research: The Vaccines


Images & logo: images along the top of the webpage, old film photography, there band name underneath in bold, logo of Columbia records on the right above the subsidery logo stereo.

Genre: simplistic white background baby pink lettering which is similar to the cover of their album. Indie film photography of old 80’s/90’s objects.

New technology and links: similar to Miles Kane, loaded with technology, links to twitter, facebook, youtube & myspace. Videos can be played and a bottom bar allows you to play music as you browse the entire 
site it also allows you to also buy the song as well.

Colour and style: white background and pink lettering sometimes hard to see as there both light tones. Layout isn’t hectic able to scroll and see tour dates, videos etc.

Written content: not heavily contented, basic information such as tour dates & album updates. fans can’t leave comments a lot of the blog is images and videos.

Font and layout: pink lettering hard to see at times layout isn’t confusing and is very clear. Bold letters used for important information.

Target audience: 16-25 year old, most likely to be fans of bands like Arctic Monkeys and Miles Kane as they have similar styles in music targets audience by links to Facebook etc. Downloading music on the site as well is also good for that target group as it is useful and easy to use.
